Kelsie is a qualified provisional psychologist who is passionate about supporting clients to reach their goals and increase insight into their patterns of behaviour. 

Kelsie is available in the clinic most days and after hours.

Kelsie is a dedicated psychologist with a calm, warm, empathetic, and individualised therapeutic style. She believes that each client’s challenges, strengths, and goals are unique and tailors her approach to meet their specific needs.

 

Kelsie integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), alongside a trauma-informed care approach, to provide comprehensive support.

Kelsie is currently accepting referrals for clients of all ages, including children (8-12 years old), adolescents, and adults. She particularly enjoys and has experience working with clients aged between 13 and 25, and a special interest in working with a range of concerns, including:

 

  • Adolescent and Young Adult Struggles: Assisting adolescents with issues such as life transitions, school challenges, relationship difficulties, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.

  • Anxiety Disorders: Addressing various forms of anxiety, including social anxiety, generalised anxiety, and panic disorders.

​

  • Depression: Offering compassionate care for those struggling with depressive symptoms, fostering hope and resilience.

​

  • Life Stress and Transitions: Supporting clients through significant life changes, such as career shifts, relocation, or personal growth.

​

  • Emotional Dysregulation: Helping clients manage intense emotions and develop healthier coping strategies.​

​​

  • Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD): Providing specialised support for those experiencing symptoms of BPD, including mood swings, relationship difficulties, and impulsive behaviour.

She is committed to helping her clients navigate their challenges and achieve their personal goals. In your first session, Kelsie will work with you to understand your concerns and formulate goals for attending therapy, to ensure you leave feeling supported and with an understanding of how therapy may be able to help you reach those goals.

Kelsie is passionate about investing in youth mental health to build brighter futures for young people and increase young people's understanding of their own mental health.

 

Kelsie is also available for Cognitive Testing for both children and adults, helping those seeking diagnosis and non-medical support for memory, learning and development, attention or giftedness. 

 

 

Qualifications:

Kelsie completed her studies at Central Queensland University and Griffith University, completing a Master of Professional Psychology degree in 2023. She is currently registered as a Provisional Psychologist with AHPRA, completing an internship year with True North Psychology. Kelsie has experience working within the mental health field whilst completing her studies, both regionally in Central Queensland and Brisbane, and has a particular history and interest in working with adolescents and young adults. ​
